Nestlé
Prime Square Services were appointed to undertake the domestic water, above-ground drainage and sanitaryware installation as part of the refurbishment of Nestlé Park House in Crawley.
The project formed part of the transformation of the ground floor into a new Nestlé product development and food studio facility, incorporating research and development areas, demonstration and training stations, food preparation areas, wash-up and laundry facilities, hospitality spaces and supporting office accommodation.
PSS installed the new domestic cold and hot water services, connecting into the existing building infrastructure and distributing new pipework throughout the refurbished areas to serve sinks, wash hand basins, dishwashers, washing machines, water heaters, boiling/chilled water taps and specialist catering equipment.
The installation included new local electric water heaters, isolation valves, thermostatic mixing valves and associated safety and control components, providing hot and cold water services to the various outlets across the development.
PSS also completed the extensive above-ground drainage installation, with new soil, waste and condensate pipework serving the sanitaryware, catering and specialist equipment. Drainage was carefully coordinated through the ceiling and floor voids, with new connections made into the existing below-ground drainage and external stacks.
Due to the nature of the new food development, demonstration and catering areas, the drainage installation also incorporated specialist connections including grease management equipment and pumped drainage where conventional gravity drainage was not achievable.
As part of the complete public health package, PSS installed and connected the sanitaryware and associated fixtures, delivering the installation from the main distribution services through to the final outlets and drainage connections.
The Nestlé Park House project demonstrates Prime Square Services' capability to deliver complete domestic water, drainage and sanitaryware packages within high-specification commercial and specialist food development environments, with careful coordination of new services around existing building infrastructure and the requirements of specialist equipment.
